FAQs

Why is it bad to only replace one tyre at a time?

If you only get one new tyre, the tread depth will be deeper than all the others. This leads to the grip they have on the road being less consistent. This is especially dangerous when driving in bad weather when you need your tyres to hang onto the road.

It is advisable to replaces tyres in pairs. This means replacing two simultaneously, either on the front or rear axle.

It is not illegal to have tyres from different manufacturers fitted to your car. However, you will fail your MOT if you have different sizes fitted across the same axle (meaning the front or back pair).
